Homecoming Part 2 was a great day. There was a wonderful turnout for tailgating and the football, men’s and women’s soccer and volleyball games. The ground breaking for the Frank R. Campbell Stadium was well attended, and Dr. Campbell was able to be there with his family. Thank you to all who helped make the day excellent!

You Matter!

This is the last week of our Faculty/Staff Giving Campaign. If you haven’t yet participated, please consider it. Not only do we have some fun prizes you are eligible for, but you and your gift matter. With less than a week left we have several departments at 100 percent participation. Is yours one of them?

If you haven’t given since July 1, 2015, please send cash or check or go online to www.averett.edu/give and give by credit card or bank transfer. The easiest way to give is to get a form from Dan Hayes (or the intranet) and do a payroll deduction. Call Dan if you have any questions at (434) 791-7252.

On Tuesday, November 3 at 11:45 a.m. in the dining hall we will draw for prizes from those who have given. If we reach our goal of 80 percent (currently we’re at 60 percent), Dan Hayes and Buddy Rawley will participate in Egg Russian Roulette with a twist – instead of egging themselves, givers will have a chance to egg them. Let’s make sure they get egg on their faces!
