QUESTION: What is your motivation for obtaining your degree here at Averett University?

ANSWER: “My motivation for obtaining my degree is to expand my career opportunities and to show my niece that if I can go to college and work a full-time job after graduating almost 25 years ago, that she can definitely do it after she graduates high school.”

Opening Convocation

Opening Convocation is Tuesday, Aug. 21, at 11:15 a.m. Staff who have a master’s degree or higher, as well as the proper regalia, are invited to march in the procession. Please email Mary Sullivan, msullivan@averett.edu today, Aug. 15, by 10 a.m. if you would like to be included.

In addition to Opening Convocation taking place in the auditorium, it will be live streamed in Blount Chapel. Staff will be on hand to direct people to the chapel in case there are no seats in the auditorium.
