Saying Goodbye

Marketing and Communications Specialist Danielle Staub is relocating to Atlanta, and her last day with Averett will be Friday, Aug. 23. Please join us for some sweet treats and a chance to wish Danielle well on Thursday, Aug. 22, at 3 p.m. in the MPR.

Staub joined Averett in November 2016, and has made a tremendous impact in her almost three years with the University. During her time, she has helped grow Averett’s external visibility and brand awareness through media relations, social media management, online communications, and more. She served on the University’s Emergency Response Team, and was a member and eventually chair of Staff Council. Staub was a contributing writer to the annual Averett Magazine, and handled the University’s internal communications, including Cougar Connection and this very newsletter. Her commitment, energy and smile will be sorely missed, but we know she will be phenomenal in any future endeavor.

A search for her replacement is underway, and the job posting can be found here.
