All this week, high school students across the Commonwealth are encouraged to visit the many private colleges throughout Virginia, including Averett Unviersity.

An initiative out of the Council of Independent Colleges in Virginia (CICV), the 2018 Virginia Private College Week will be held July 23-28 at 24 participating Virginia private colleges and universities. Participating institutions will host two daily programs for rising juniors and seniors and their families, as well as prospective transfer students.

“This is a great opportunity for prospective students and their families to see Averett, see what college is all about and have the opportunity to get all their questions answered,” said Joel Nester, Averett’s director of undergraduate admissions.

At Averett, visitors will get a tour of campus, talk with representatives about admissions and financial aid and learn more about our academic programs. Sessions are offered Monday through Friday at both 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., and at 9 a.m. on Saturday.

Averett has been a participating institution in the CICV’s Virginia Private College Week for more than 20 years. Those interested in visiting Averett can click here to schedule a visit, or contact Shekinah Logan, campus guest coordinator, at (434) 791-6880 or [email protected].
