Averett University hosted the Career and Internship Fair on Tuesday, Sept. 22 in the Carrington Gym. A sizeable contingent of area business, organizations and agencies presented career and internship opportunities for Averett students.

The students received a great opportunity to interact with the presenters and learn more about each entity. One-on-one conversation and personal engage allowed the students the chance to ask questions, discover new fields and develop new networking channels. The students were also able to pick up some swag and even claim a Chik-Fil-A sandwich after participating in the fair.

“I am always excited to see our students step outside their comfort zones, connect with prospective employers, and explore possibilities that can help shape their futures,” Dr. Tonitta McNeal, Career Services Coordinator at Averett University said. “Bringing employers and regional partners to campus gives students a chance to build confidence, expand their professional networks, and take meaningful steps toward their ultimate career goals.”
