hoffman2On Tuesday, March 29, Dr. David Hoffman, English and communication studies professor at Averett University, will present “Movement on the Riverwalk Trail in Danville.” The event, which will be held at 7 p.m. in the multipurpose room of the Student Center, is free and open to the public. It is a part of the university’s 1859-Coffeehouse Lecture Series.

Hoffman’s talk will focus on the constant movement and change he has witnessed on Danville’s Riverwalk Trail. Some of the movement is natural; some of the movement is manmade. For nearly 10 years Hoffman has been walking along the trail with his English setter, Sadie. During these walks he has taken thousands of photos which bear witness to the movement and change along the river. As part of his talk, Hoffman will share some of his favorite photographs.
