DANVILLE, Va. — The Averett University men’s basketball team, which clinched the USA South Conference regular season championship, will face No. 8 seed Covenant College on Thursday in the first round of the conference tournament. The top-seeded Cougars will take on Covenant at 7 p.m. in the final of four quarterfinals games at the Grant Center.
Averett will host the semifinals on Friday and the championship on Saturday, with the winner earning the USA South’s automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.
Tickets, which can be purchased at the door, are $6 for adults and $3 for students, faculty, staff, senior citizens and children.
