Allison Haran

Allison Haran is a sophomore studying biomedical sciences from Ridgeway, Va. Haran is an orientation leader. She tutors subjects involving sciences in the Student Success Center, usually anatomy or biology. She regularly attends Christian Student Fellowship, Focus and Chapel on Tuesdays and Thursdays. She is also involved in Junior S.E.T.

How do you believe Averett will help you with your degree?

“Averett has given me connections with alumni, professors and even other students that will help excel my future and education. Also, Averett has helped me find a graduate program that will fit my needs to get my master’s.”

What do you like best about the University?

“I love being able to know a lot of people from a lot of different kinds of backgrounds. I also like how the University is so small that I know someone no matter where I go.”

Why did you choose your path of study?

“I love biology and the study of life. I really wanted to go into the field of medicine with more specifics like microbiology.”
