Criteria for Engage Leadership Award Nominations
Awards mentioned below are selected by the Engage Showcase Committee. The committee will review nominations to ensure that criteria are met before voting, and reserve the right to remove nominations from consideration, if necessary.

Community Awards |

| Engage Community Leader Award | Honors a community organization that best exemplifies strong leadership qualities that are improving the community, and has participated in at least one service activity with Averett University, Danville Community College, or Piedmont Community College. |
Averett University Awards |
|
| Averett University Engage Student Leader | Honors one Averett University student who has demonstrated superior service to the campus and surrounding community, through service-learning courses, internships, volunteering and/or leadership positions. |
| Averett University Engage Faculty Leader Award | Honors 1 Averett University faculty member who has contributed outstanding service to the campus and surrounding community. The service provided by the nominee should be beyond the call of duty and exceed expected job requirements. Examples could be, but are not limited to, advocating for student volunteerism, teaching an outstanding service-learning course, etc. |
| Averett University Engage Internship Award | Honors one Averett University student who has excelled in a credit bearing internship by meeting and exceeding learning outcomes. |
Danville Community College Awards |

| Danville Community College Engage Student Leader | Honors one Danville Community College student who has demonstrated superior service to the campus and surrounding community, through service-learning courses, internships, volunteering and/or leadership positions. |
