Honors Program

at Averett University

Go beyond regular classes with Averett University’s Honors Program, which offers specially designed courses, international travel opportunities – our honors students have been everywhere from China to South Africa to Austria – and a senior project where you’ll bring everything together.  You’ll explore selected academic subjects in depth, and that will give you an edge when you’re preparing for graduate study or for the job market.

Students in the Honors Program maintain an overall GPA of at least 3.2 and take 20% of their courses with the honors credit distinction. They may also take part in the Honors Association and attend conferences, social activities and cultural performances.
