Internships

Pic - For Students - InternshipsInternships are a great way to gain real world experience within a learning atmosphere. Students with internships find employment quicker and are paid more upon college graduation than those without. It is an important career development step that all Averett University students are empowered to pursue.

To explore available internships, Averett students, please visit our Internship site on Canvas.

To apply and secure an internship, please make an appointment with the Director of Career Development. In that appointment, you will review your resume and explore internship opportunities.

Please speak with your faculty advisor about enrolling in an internship course. All student interns will need to complete a placement agreement, signed by the faculty supervisor and internship site supervisor, before their internship term begins. Here is the standard Averett University internship placement agreement. Some departments have different requirements, so you must check with your faculty supervisor.
