Bachelor of Applied Science

If you’ve earned an Associate of Applied Science degree at a community college and want to continue your education, Averett University can help. We offer a Bachelor of Applied Science degree completion program that enables you to apply the credits from your associate’s degree program to a bachelor’s in a related field.

For example, if you’ve earned your AAS in Office Technology, you can earn a Bachelor of Applied Science in Business or Computer Science. We also hold an articulation agreement with Danville Community College and the Virginia Community College System that allows graduates of the AAS in Early Childhood Education to complete a BAS in Early Childhood Education with us.

Admission Requirements

To apply for the BAS completion program, you need to:

  • Hold an Associate of Applied Science degree from a regionally accredited institution;
  • Have completed your AAS with at least a 2.0 GPA;
  • Complete a minimum of 33 semester hours at Averett University, including a minor related to your field.
